  1. I know this is abit late, but I'm in the same situation, and I've been reading this thread regarding allow wheel repair. I was going to strip of the lacquer, probably user nitro mor, but I'm going to mask of the spoke areas and concentrate on the flat part of the spokes. When the lacquer was stripped off, I was going to polish the alloys using a polishing kit. (you can get them off ebay with appropriate waxs to bring the alloy to a shiny finish) I've just done this with my motorcycle so figured that is was a no brainer to do the same on the galaxy wheels. onced polished, then I might apply a clear lacquer to protect. I just figured if that if I polish the existing alloy it may look more natural, and although it can a a little time consuming there shouldn't be much in it, if where going to paint them.:)
