so looks like i have joined the masses and now also have a busted aircon system the lights on the climate control panel flash like blackpool illuminations when you start the car.. it's been regassed and check for leaks with no joy. what next?? anyone recommend a decent indy that knows their stuff in the crawley/gatwick/south london etc area... :huh:

ok.. here we go. ac has lost it's coolness recently. i'm thinking its the gas. so off to fraud stealership.

ok... sometimes from cold the petrol shows empty and takes forever to move up. this only happens when we are 1/4 tank or less... is this a known fault or should i get it checked out?

thats a really backward step.... can it be switched on with a clever sommat? i cant believe the computer cant actually do the function - not worth vw/ford while to have diff computers.

on my 2001 galaxy... i cant seem to get it to show how many miles left in the tank. only time, mpg, trip etc... i'm i doing sommat wrong??

my v6 hums quietly at 90 and is quite happy with what ever i wish to cruise at.. hills not a prob.. in fact she eats them... yeah.. mpg can be shite... but damn the feeeeelin' from the v6 makes up for that. <_<

damn... ask a simple q... and ya get a 3 page thread.... i'm sure i'll cry at the mpg (when I get my v6)... but hey i sounds like i'm gonna enjoy it! as for legal limit mpg... nonsense... i can pretty much bet none of us do it.... as for deprecitation... for 2nd hand buyers like me.. it works in our favour.. eg.. i'm hoping to pick up my galaxy tomorrow... y plate. 2.6 ghia auto, 100k miles.. for 4.5k!... now a similar diesel would cost 1500-2k more... so in 18months when i'm sure i'll be bored of it... it'd have worked out the same! anyways... here's to me hopefully picking up the car tomorrow/tues and to some fun motoring! :)

hiya. first of all good forum chaps.. nice and active with plenty of info. :D right... i've had a good look around and need to ask your opinions and advice.. i'm possibly looking to change my wife's audi a4 avant ('98 2.4v6 auto) for a 2001 2.8 ghia auto with high miles (over 90k)... having looked around the forum there are threads about * linkages? * expensive to fix aircon * wet footwells * mpg - tho looks like there is a obsession with diesel mpgs! so..chaps and chapesses... re mpg.. the audi returns low 20's and wife does low mileage so not tooo worried about that... 7 seats... is a must... wife is a childminder and needs the extra space auto again is a must and she wont drive manual... so any hints.tips.etc etc in particular... how unsupportive/supportive are the rear seats (rows 2&3)? electrical gemlins? sorry if thats all jumbled... but ya get the idea... :D :D
