The auxilliary heater on my 1.9tdi has started gushing smoke from burning unburned fuel whenever I stop. I guess the igniter / burner or something is blocked or not burning cleanly? and fuel builds up? Anyway, given the age of the vehicle (117k miles) I'm not sure the repair is economic? Does anyone know if I simply disconnect the electrical connection would the unit just stop/shut down, - with no further supply of diesel to the burner? Or would this cause even more problems? Any guesses on this specific, or a more general solution, appreciated. Steve the Skiddmeister
