I brought the car from a local dealer, small outfit and he said he was worried about my trade in car so he wrote trade sale on the paperwork indemnifying my warranty. Looks like I may have been had by the sound of things but I will try and get the things you said looked at.

I have also noticed that the pedal does not always return to the top of its travel although some time after it does

Just to add if the engine is not running it selects gear fine without fail.

Hi all, I am a new member and this is my first post, I have a 2003 ford galaxy 1.9 TDI LX, I have only just brought the car and I am experiencing the following problems, sometimes it is hard to select and de select first and reverse gears, also I am not sure if it is connected but if you press the brake pedal whilst stationary it appears to keep traveling slightly, I have just had brake and clutch fluid replaced and was hoping it would solve the problem, alas it hasn't. It would be appreciated for anyone's help on this post, thanks in advance. Dave
