  1. Hi again chrispb123456, I FOUND IT!!!! lucky i keep bits in a box, somtimes whether i need them or not, you know like the rawlplug you didnt use and put in your pocket, then it goes in a drawer... well thats what i did with the "Transponder", and after fitting back inside the key the car now starts and runs!!! THANK YOU!!! So to anybody else searching, the bit, a little black rectangular, 8mm x 2mm x 2mm approximately! is the Transponder, which you need inside the keyfob, in the key part, for the engine immobiliser to communicate with the key. you learn something new every day... lol. D.
  2. Hi chrispb123456, you would be right! i opened up the key fob in the supermarket to check which batteries it takes as it wouldn't work very well. when i returned to the ar this problem started!!! I don't think i've lost the chip as the whole print board is still in the key fob, I remember a very small black piece of plastic falling out of the fob, is this significant? it was about 6mm x 2mm x 2mm but with no connectors, looked like something had broken off. Would opening the fob and taking the battries immobilise the engine? Cheers Dennis.
  3. Hi, I have a few issues with my Galaxy, namely that it now won't run after it starts, it just dies. I have noticed at more or less the same time as this occured the tailgate motor stopped working, the rear wiper stopped working and the reverse lights, which are in the tail gate stopped working. Whilst I am guessing that this might be to do with the wiring loom for the tailgate I can't understand why it would stop the car from running? Whilst the lights are Off, the is a constant clicking from one of the relay's, until I turn the lights on, then it stops... Does anyone have any experience of this or similar? the car is currently stranded in a public carpark and I need to get it going, even just to limp it home... any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
