Hey all Just found this site and its going straight to the top of my favourites! Anyway i have had my MKII 1.9 tdi PD115 since August 2010, but had a major issue in December when a valve seized! Had a new cam kit installed along with timing belt, water pump etc. Since getting the car back a series of seemingly unrelated issues (from the work done) have cropped up. Firstly, the heater panel doesnt work properly. It doesnt light up, the temperature and direction dont work, but the fan speed does. Next the drivers door and fuel cap work out of sequence in the central locking. When i lock the car the drivers door does't. I can then unlock and lock the car again and the car will be fully locked. WHen i next unlock the car the drivers door doesn't unlock, but on the next lock press the drivers door unlocks. Then unlock again and all doors (except fuel flap) are then open. This sequence has been working for a month so it cannot be wiring as it is fixed and not random. At least i can secure the car! Next issue, fairly minor, when winding down the two front electric windows, they have to wind all the way down, cant stop it part way through. But can when winding up. Next, the trip computer resets everytime i take the keys out, (but stereo doesn't losde its codes!!!) Finally the clock doesn't work even though it lights up! I know next to nothing about how cars work so any insights will be invaluable. Ta, Ade
