  1. Get as much water out of the carpets with a sponge first (obviously). Then I put an old newspaper between the mat and the moulded carpet. Change it on a daily basis until the newspaper stays dry. Its suprising how much moisture the paper absorbs. Works for me.
  2. BARUM BAR BRAVURIS 97H XL I have these fitted to my mercedes clk and would recommend them. My last set of rears on the merc (continental sport contact 2) lasted 18000 miles, The Barums I now have on will do 25000. I wouldnt say they are better or worse tyre than the contis - for normal driving - , just feel different (and a whole lot cheaper). I`ll be looking for a set to put on the Galaxy when the current tyres (Fortuna) wear out. As I`m aware Barums are manufacture by Continental in portugal. I now have Bravuris 2s on the front and they are every bit as good as the previous Contis. Personally I wouldn`t want Chinese tyres (Wanlis, Fullruns etc.) anywhere near my Cars. I`m ok with non branded tyres as long as they are from a trusted manufacturer. Incidentally I cant seem to trace Fortuna F2000s at the moment, which is what we currently have on the Galaxy. These are good tyres IMHO, were cheap (less than
  3. Have you tried cleaning it? The other family car had a dirty MAF (causing all sorts of running problems) and my garage stripped it out and cleaned it (with brake cleaner) and dried it with an airline. Car runs better now than it ever did. A genuine Mercedes MAF was
  4. Aston Villa aren`t a sh*t team mate. FA Cup Winners 1887 1895 1897 1905 1913 1920 1957 Runners-up 1892 1924 2000 League Cup Winners 1961 1975 1977 1994 1996 Runners-up 1963 1971 European Cup Winners 1982 European Super Cup Winners 1983 World Cup Championship Runners-up 1982
  5. The problems you are aware of may be only the tip of the iceberg.... repaired accident damage and potential gerabox problems - no thanks. If the owner couldn`t be bothered to replace broken speaker grilles (less than 2 quid each) do you really think he`s looked after the more important items? Look at some more and I`m sure you will find a good one.
  6. Mobile aircon man came, vacuumed out old refrigerant, added correct quantities of new refrigerant & oil, also added a dye so he could look for leaks. No leak found under UV lights. Tested ok ran at 7.5 degrees. Cost was 77 quid - I`m well pleased - now works better than new. However, as their was virtually no gas in system to begin with, the man thinks a leak will show up at some point in the future. As were off to France soon he`s coming back in 2 weeks to check it over again, before we go. Apparently ford modified the pipe fixings late in the mk 1 run and pipes don`t corrode as much. He also commented that of all the cars he works on Galaxys no worse than other makes/models.
  7. Sparky Paul. Yes - you are rigt, these Dunlops aren`t "run flat". I do remember though Quick-Fit advising me to take another set of 2020E`s when I went to replace them - they said they were designed to stay on the rim in the event of a blow out. I wasn`t looking for cheaper tyres at the time as the company were paying.
  8. dont forget dunlop 2020e are "run flat" ie designed to stay on the rim in case of a blow out. Cheap tyres wont do his and IHMO are a false economy. Wife & kids safety worth a few extra quid?
  9. I have exactly same problem with wee wifeys car - v reg 1.9 tdi - mobile air-con mans coming on monday i`ll let u know how I get on
