Our 2006 Ford Galaxy is making a loud screeching noise when reversing or manoeuvring. It also makes a noise when turning while driving normally. There are no dashboard alerts. The mechanic believes it is the power steering pump. However the pump is apparently difficult to access and remove. Worse he can't tell the model of the pump until he strips the engine down.
