Thanks for the quick response. All of the gaitors/wiring have been checked and repaired where needed, but the NSR central locking and window are the only ones not working. Will check that there is continuity along along the wires to the relevant points in the door to ensure that none are broken within the insulation. Just a quick thought......................is there a fuse or relay that ONLY covers the electric to that door; as far as i am aware, the windows fuse covers all of the windows. Neil

Hi all Had some trouble with the central locking not working on the car, together with the near side rear electric window working. VAGCom cam up with this: 01145 - Central Locking Motors; Unlock Rear Doors 29-10 - Short to Ground - Intermittent So i decided to take the plunge and check all of the door looms............wow how many wires were broken............. Anyway out came the trusty soldering iron and heat shrink and all now repaired. The CL works on all but the NSR door with the window still not working. Too dark to do any more work now but will check the continuity of the cables in the door tomorrow. In the mean time, does anyone have any ideas of what else to check if continuity checks out ok????
