Hi Our Galaxy (03 2.3 petrol zetec) does not read full of petrol when its full. I have found out thro' ford that the sender unit is part of the fuel pump @ £253.96 + vat. Is there a way to test the gauge as replacing the pump is very expensive if it doesn't fix it. Regards Martyn Was told disconnect battery on reconnection gauges flick to full as a test. mine do not as i tried it.

Hi I have a 2.3 zetec 03 petrol galaxy, the fuel gauge works but never shows full when brimmed. I assume this to be the sender unit? Is this a reasonable assumption? Where is the sender located and can it be fixed ie cleaned Does the old trick of shorting the gauge wires together test the gauge for a full reading? any help would be appreciated Thanks Martyn

My 2.3 zetec auto has developed a fault of starting running for a while then the engine will just die. Try to restart lights all come on only get a click. Leave it a hour or so and it will start again. When it does this it sends the auto box into limp mode. Stuck in third. Had the box looked over and they thought it to be an engine fault. Battery test as weak on a drop test. Could this cause the engine to stop.? Any help most welcome or its a trip to ford.

Hi Galaxy 2003 2.3l Zetec Auto 95K on clock The engine light came on Checked the fault got a p0700 code gearbox voltage low reset it and it came back on. Car is stuck in 3rd gear (limp home i think) Can change to 2nd or first manually. (car will not change its self) What are my options Dont want to take it to Ford as they will see me coming if you know what i mean. Found a gearbox specialist in Peterborough, suggested it could need a rebuild, my worry is that what he will do regardless of the fault. Can the Auto ECU cause this? If it does need a new box fine, I just dont want hanging out to dry? Comments please

Hi My Wifes 2003 galaxy Zetec 2.3 petrol on her way home from work (very cold -12) engine management light came on 8 miles later car engine dies and drifts to a halt. ignition lights on, main lights work ok power from battery available, when turn the enigne on only a click and nothing (wont turn over). Half an hour later it started up as normal and ran home ok. Engine light still on. Getting a code reader to check this out. Drop teated battery suggested its weak can the battery do this or do I need to look further? Any help most welcome martyn

Hi Got a Galaxy 03 zetec The instrument panel green indicator light is very dim on one side, some times seen it bright then dim again. I know now through the forum how to take the cluster out. Before I do is it a light bulb, can it fall out and give this appearence or is it an led? Am I wasting my time trying to fix this if its not a normal bulb. Any help welcome Regard Martyn

Hi I have a 2003 Galaxy with a std 6000cd unit, works fine. Found on ebay same unit with a cd charger. If bought would it need to be coded to the car, would the wires be their for the charger which sits in the back rhs storage box (i think). There is no cd charger in the car at present thats why i wonder about the charger wires being there. Is this a poor way to upgrade! Would it be better to ditch the head unit completely and go for a non ford new job? Comments Please Regards Martyn Delta

Hi Had trouble with my parking sensors, thought it might be the module, but I hav found a faulty sensor. Clipped on a new one and it all seems ok. How do I remove the old sensor from the rear black lower bumper strip. It feels as if its been glued in. If its not obvious I was going to drill it out with progressivly bigger drills until i could get the body out. suggestion please Drivers side rear sensor (edge) many thanks martyn

Hi Im having a job locating a second hand parking module, the unit under the passenger seat. Looking on the interweb-net I have found other ford units for mondeo and fiesta's that look identical will these work? Quoted
