I have no intention to mislead anybody, and stand to gain nothing by doing so, therefore why would I exagerate? I am simply giving you some recently obtained comparitive figures. If the calculations of my trip computer are out, I have also included the indicated figures regulary obtained in the UK, which as you can see are not brilliant. I was also very surprised at the readouts, but then given the state of the roads I was on at the time (almost perfectly smooth & free flowing for hour after hour) and the longer distances you can cover without constantly reducing speed or stopping, this really is the case. BTW it is not an auto, but a 130PD 6 speed manual (I thought this was in my profile but it may not display). I had it serviced before the trip and ran the tyres at 43 PSI (17 inch rims with 225/45 tyres) as I had a heavier load than usual.
