  1. Thanks for your help chaps - most appreciated, have a good weekend.
  2. OK chaps, I'm up for more abuse here. Sounds like I have a cat under the bonnet when the engine is cold. Get the occasional meeow/squeeking noise (maybe a mouse under there too). Noise lasts about 1 second then goes away for 30. Not terribly loud and doesn't sound like slipping belt. Engine load makes no difference. PS anyone know why the car says it needs service in 2000 miles when it was serviced 1000 miles ago?
  3. Yeah, alright, got it now. Thanks.
  4. Thanks Buncers. What is the auxiliary heater used for - apart from heating auxiliaries? and is it normal for it to be noisy. This noise does seem greater with the onset of cold weather.
  5. I get a loud 'fan' noise from the rear of my Galaxy 19.TDi 2003. It seems to be coming from the place that a fuel pump may normally be, inside and to the front of the rear nearside wheel. It sounds a little like an aircraft flying over at altitude. The noise slowly winds down when the engine is turned off, it takes about 30 seconds before slience so I don't think it could be the fuel pump. Not sure if this noise is normal, it can just be heard from the inside of the vehicle whilst running. It can certainly be heard from the outside while standing on tha pavement. Any help would be appreciated.
