  1. Situation Update - Fixed Checked out ATM controller and found fault logged "intermittent communication with ECU", wiggled wires, reset faults, reset MIL and all is working again properly. Now have interface cable, VCDS Lite and OBD2 Easy Scan at a fraction of the £70 per hour diagnostic fee wanted by dealer who couldn't find fault after 2 hours. My diagnostic and fix time less than 15 mins. Thanks for the help posted here for me. ian
  2. Hi My first post anywhere so I hope I am doing this correctly. I have read posts on here to previously fix cruise control and parking sensors and have found the forum really useful. Now I need a little extra help please. My 80k Gal died at a round about the other day. All dash lights on, battery fine, no turn over, no starter motor exciter voltage, RAC baffled but a most helpful chap who spent ages trying to figure it out. Then after ages it started on the key, however engine light on. Error code 700 read by RAC and car in limp home mode. RAC cleared code but it comes straight back. Into Ford garage with IDS who reported error code 700 Transmission system problems (yes, I told them that when I brought it in) for £70 and wanted more money to diagnose why the light was on. Removed car and paid nothing to ford stealer. Reading on here found the relay 30 issue, followed guide and removed relay 30 and re-soldered joint. No apparent improvement, Car still starts fine but the engine light stays on and it remains in limp home mode. I have ordered an elm 327 latest version from fleabay with bundled software plus additional diagnostic software from a different source, which says it covers tramsmissions. Should be here just after xmass. Anyone had something simillar? any tips on what to look for with diagnostic software? Any help appreciated Thanks Ian in Milton Keynes
