  1. Ive tried disconnecting the battery and ive tried a new battery as it has also started beeping sometimes when i take the key out of the ignition and i read somewhere that the 5 beeps can mean the crank sensor but sometimes its the battery. It just seems weird that it has all started since the jump leads were touched together. is there a relay or anything that could have shorted out and be causing these problems. Ive checked the wires in the door gaitor and they are all fine
  2. Hi all. I own a 1999 galaxy tdi 110bhp. Today i went and jump started a friends car. After he got his car started he took the jump leads off his battery and accidently touched them together whilst they were stil connected to my car which resulted in the usual shower of sparks. Since this has happened every time i switch the ignition off my electric windows go down automatically. Ive tried putting them up with the key by holding it in the lock position and they still come back down. Any ideas what else i could try???? P.S. ive had to pull fuse 55 why im not using the car to stop it happening
  3. I recently plugged my galaxy tdi 110 into vag-com and i got this error code 1 Fault Found: 17795 - Internal Control Module Malfunction P1387 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent can anyone tell me what it means as ive googled the codes and come up with loads of different things for the same code. 1 suggested a sensor inside the ecu and another suggested the cam timing sensor malfunction and the list goes on. what does it really mean and how can i fix it
  4. I was talking to a friend today about the problem and he suggested the crank sensor could be my problem. Does anyone else think this could be the case and if it is why is there no fault code logged on vag-com thanks
  5. Thanks ive found it where u said. the codes were 17795 - Internal Control Module Malfunction P1387 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent and 00771 - Fuel Level Sensor (G) 30-10 - Open or Short to Plus - Intermittent im assuming the fuel level sensor is my fuel gauge am i right??? if so i have not had any problems with it so this could be an old fault code that has not been cleared. as to the internal control module has anyone got any ideas wha it is and if this could be causing the warm start problems??????
  6. do u kno any sites with tis downloads that will work on win7
  7. Hi i bought a vag-com off ebay and plugged it in. there was 2 fault codes recorded so i pressed save codes and then cleared the codes and now i cant remember wha the codes were or find where they are saved too. if i run the car for a few miles will the codes be recorded again because i haven't repaired the fault??? or has anyone got any ideas where to find the saved codes
  8. Thanks for the replies. i bought a vag-com lead off ebay and connected it to my car and there is no abs faults recorded. i think im gonna have to get my hands dirty and try takin the sensors off and cleaning/reseating them. is urs ok now paul??

  10. Hi all. Does anyone know where I can download a factory repair manual for a 2000 galaxy tdi zetec 110 thanks
  11. Hi all. When I got my galaxy zetec tdi(2000 v reg)the remote key fob didn't work the central locking i had to use the key. So i replaced the batteries and the led lights up on the key fob now but when I come to programe it to the car (turn the lock on the drivers side door to unlock 3 times) the led in the door does not come on. I kno it works because it comes on and flashes when I lock the car with the key. Any help would be greatly appreciated cheers,
  12. ive got the galaxy 1.9tdi 1999 model. the problem is when braking the car brakes normally until the last couple of seconds before it stops and then you get what can only be described as a buzzing through your foot on the brake pedal. like i said it only does this at low speeds just before the car comes to a halt. it feels like the abs is trying to kick in but why would it do this at such low speeds and not at high speeds or all the time even.
  13. Hi all. this is my first time posting so i hope ive done it right. ive got a 1999 galaxy 1.9tdi (110bhp) and the problem is it starts first flick of the key when the engine is cold but when the engine is warm it turns over for 5-10 seconds before it fires. has anyone else had this problem and does anyone know how to resolve it thanks
