Just had the AA man out to get a tow home and hes fixed it! Wiggled a few cables attached to the lock barrel and its fine!!!!! Any ideas anyone of what it could be and what I could do to stop it happening again!! Many Thanks

I have a 95 gal and took her into the new forest yesterday for a run, was out of the car for about an hour or two, when i came back she wouldnt start engine cutting out after two seconds if started straight away or if not started straight away she wouldnt start at all. I then noticed the flashing led and assumed immobilisier problem most probably the key but i got my brother to drop me out my spare and the service key but both of them didnt work either. I have searched on the forum and i cant conclude if it would be a relay fault or not because it seems if it was a relay fault then she wouldnt start at all. I have also noticed some people talking about a code in the flashing led, any ideas???? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

ive sat in the car an pushed my feet on all doors to try and simulate going round a corner, and, apart from looking like a prat in my driveway, the lights only come on when the car is moving.....very strange!

I have got the problem with the interior lights coming on but under the passenger seats is as dry as a bone, and the lights only come on when i turn left reasonably hard!

I have just had my car stolen :D and with three kids it has pushed me into what i was going to do eventually and that is buy a gal :D . Ive searched the forums for "buying used" but not much luck. I dont have an awful lot to spend probably about 3-4k and ive seen a 2l petrol 96/n which i have viewed and i have to say for the age is in immaculate condition. Only thing i can see as a problem is she has done 103k but for the price i doubt i will get much better anyway. can anyone offer me any advice on what to look for etc and whether that milage will have made this type of engine weak as im a complete noob to the galaxy. Ps I am quite a good mechanic (replaced clutches,gearboxes,head gaskets etc) so whats this car like to work on? Many Thanks from a prospective owner!!!!!
