Hi I have a 1996 ghia x tdi manual the radio is the standard fittment with cd changer. The radio used to get louder at 20 mph intervals but has stopped in recent weeks can anyone please help with identifying the problem.

I have a '96 ghia x and my cruise control has stopped working: have checked brake/clutch swithes and the work ok - have changed the stalk but still no joy.... but i have noticed that the radio no longer get louder the faster you go so am thinking maybe speed sensor but the speedo still works...any ideas
