How do I check the current ?Sorry I am a bit new to all of this so just finding my way.

Will try all of those things over the weekend and will definitley report back ,right now I am in overload as you can see from the heading I gave my post:)Should have said "2001 Galaxy won't turn over,no power to starter !!Thank you all for your time and effort lots to try,thanks again.Mary

Thanks for the replies will have to look up some of that info.It is petrol ,manual and a 2.3 not sure of the other things any idea where I would find that info ?I am a bit lost as I don't know much about cars but I'm learning !

Hope someone can help as I am going cross eyed reading!Went on holiday for 2 weeks ,on arrival back my 2001 Galaxy won't turn over.All the electrics seem to work ,if the headlights are on and you try to start the car there's is no power to the starter motor an the headlights go off untill you release the key.Have replaced battery in the key and the car,still nothing .I only have 1 key which is a remote key which opens the oors but isn't opening thme remotely.The pats chip is in the key as well.Have read about a 20 second sequence which didn't work,also light on the door flashes when you lock it manually but people mention light beside clock ,I don't appear to have this light.Any help would be great asI am going mad here..
