  5. hi guys , im new here so please forgive me if you have answered this question before . my car is 2001 Y ford galaxy 2.3 dohc 16v two months ago i had to replace my coil pack as the original one died . then the other morning i started my car up and it was making the same noises and only sounded like it was running on two cylinders so i arranged another coil pack to try , the new coil pack did the same thing . a friend said to me " take each plug lead out of the coil as it runs " which i did and it seemed as though no's 2 and 3 have very little power output ( not enough to create a spark ) ......... i tested them with a multi meter and there is a little trace of power but nowhere near full . i was also told it could be the mass airflow sender unit , so i unplugged that whilst running and it made no difference but when i took the unit out of its housing the car cut out ( leaving me thinking that it was ok and not the problem ) i have now run out of ideas and im waiting for my diagnostics reader to come but need to use the car for work ( even on 2/3 cylinders ) what i want to know is ,,,,, has anyone on here had the same problem ? or does anyone know what the problem is ? or any more possible theories ? ( i started with a full head of hair and have pulled most of it out ) :) :19: :29:
