I have just bought 4 new tyres for my 2004 Galaxy, 215/55V16VERSX with new valves 4 weeks ago, from Kwik-Fit, but they keep losing pressure, I have been back to Kwik-Fit and they say the wheels need refurbishing, but I am not worried about the scratches & dinks in the Alloy wheels, they say the valve seatings are corroded, surely this should have been picked up when they replaced the tyres ?, has anybody else had this problem and what is the easiest & cheapest solution ?, how difficult is it just to clean,scrape the valve seats or can tubes be fitted ?.

We have a 2004 Galaxy 1.9 TDi 5 gear automatic, how do we tell what model it is ?, and is there a maintenance manual for it ? Haynes ???
