as im living in ireland, cost of parts prob lot more :rolleyes: i think mechanic just got second hand head, got it skimmed as it was pressure tested already, got new gasket set, head bolts, t/belt and water pump.might hav been few small other bits, but can't remember.all in all, i think it came to round 1400 euro :( it only happened 5 days ago, but think im just not meant to hav car wit vag engine. last car was passat est, had same prob, so got rid of it for galaxy, so didn't get to find out prob had codes read, so mechanic got new air flow meter, but no good.

hi woodywoodpecker and kertrats, i have exact same prob too. my mechanic thinks turbo is ok, but could it still be blades?????? could it have anything to do wit egr valve???? any info r possible soloutions appreciated :rolleyes:
