Found another post on here about removing door cards that also went on to talk about locks.... It also had an exploded diagram of the locking mechanism see http://www.fordgalaxy.org.uk/ford/index.php?showtopic=11296&st=0&p=92243&hl=door card removal&fromsearch=1& Found it useful myself as drivers side lock back section had ceased and snapped. I have today completely swapped the drivers and passenger door handles over. The above link mentions one screw but in fact there are 2 screws on the door ends that release the barrel and handle.... Now have a Galaxy I can lock from my door rather than boot - happy again (ish)
