Having just purchased a Galaxy 2000 V6, it came with no handbook so until I hunt one down I need to post here (unless someone knows of an online edition?). The aircon isn't working, when the temp is set to low it still blows tepid air. Before I have it regassed I need to make sure I am doing everything else correct. When testing it I can't hear the compressor kick in nor does any light come up on the console (I assume the EC switch is used to turn the aircon on and off?). Can someone confirm to me how the aircon works and which fuses I need to check as I have read previous posts where a fuse replacement fixed the problem in the aircon? Thanks in advance for any help.

Worked it out, got to remove the plug (push down plug cover then pull slide underneath up) to get to the two retaining screws.

Is there any trick to removing it? What is attaching it to the side wall?

Galaxy 2000 V6, auto will not go into 4th and gearbox ecu will not respond to VAG-COM. I suspect the gearbox ecu is in trouble (a common fault) so want to take it out an send it off to be looked at. Where does one find the gearbox ecu? (and once I find it I'll also check the cable to see if that is causing any problems). Also is the gearbox ecu from a 2000 V6 sharan or 1997 V6 Sharan swappable with the one in my Galaxy?
