Cheers Andy. I should have added. The valve block has been cleaned and oil new oil replaced to correct level since fault developed, yet fault is still there.

May I recommend the girls at my local refinishing supplies. They also supply products online, website http://www.qpaints.co.uk/ They are always very helpful and have never let me down yet, including getting the right paint and colour for a 1964 mini I have recently resprayed.
