hi ive recently been trying to fix my galaxy the only way i can start it is to put my hand over the air intake pipe when i let it off it starts,ive changed all my filters and glow plugs checked my connector to the maf is working it had power coming from it (only 1 prong tho) dont know if this is normal, ive cleaned my sensor inside the maf, but ive been told it could be relay 109 is this correct because there quite dear for what they are,im fed up of buying parts for it and its still the same i dont know if me starting it like this is damageing it please help im at the end of my teather thanks

ive recently had trouble starting my galaxy its a 1.9tdi but the other day my dad came down he took the air filter off by the pipe then he put his hand over the air intake to the engine told me to turn it over when he took his hand off it started thats the only thing i can do to start it from cold whats the problem how do i fix this :angry2:

its not the filter ive just changed it but it wont start with just the pipe unless i hold my hand over wots the maf is it easly sorted cheers

hi im trying to fix my ford galaxy 1.9tdi 2000 a couple of weeks ago my partner ran it out of diesel we got it going again but ever since its not right it started taking a few goes to start it and it puffed out white smoke but after it ran perfect with no smoke,after advice i changed my glow plugs to no avail by this time its getting worse taking a few more trys to get it going then, yesterday i changed my oil filter fuel filter air filter and oil thinking there maybe crap in the system it took ages to start but once it started it ran like a dream. then this morning i tried it fired up streght away i turned it off went indoors got the family together to go shopping and its back to normal again it wont start at all now it turns over but it wont fire up ive ran my battery dead and got someone with a rangerover to give me a jump and nothing. please help im at a dead end :unsure: ive heard about the releys wich 1 could it be
