  1. I too have had similar problems in my 2007 1.8 TDCi. I have taken the vehicle to our local Ford Dealer and gave them the following information :- "Car has sometimes shown a little difficulty in starting ie sounds laboured, but there have been other symptoms that raises concerns, for which the latest details are as follows ! Sunday 16/3/2014 Return trip to Newbury, Berkshire. Monday 17/3/2014 Return trips to Canterbury and Ashford. Wednesday 19/3/2014 Would not start, battery flat, so put on charge overnight. Thursday 20/3/2014 Started OK at home but difficult to start prior to returning from a trip to Ashford. Friday 21/3/2014 Difficult to start at home before trip to Canterbury. Stopped en route, switched off engine, difficult to start. Stopped in Canterbury at traffic lights, switched off engine, very reluctant to start when traffic lights were green. Arrived at Invicta Motors and booked in for
  2. Thanks, but in that case does anyone know of a source(s) other than checking on thousands of 'breakers' for obtaining suitable 8 pin sockets and suitable 12 pin plugs so that I can make up connectors for both mirrors ?
  3. Not sure if that will fit, but there are several sites on Internet that supply covers, and some of them paint to match your vehicle eg '999 Auto Parts'.
  4. My son recently bought me replacement basic wing mirrors ie, heated with indicator lamp but NOT with puddle lamp or power closing as they aren't required. After removing the bits and pieces to gain access to the drivers side old mirror mount etc, I find that the replacement mirror had an 8 pin connector for the 6 wires whereas my car had a 12 pin connector for its 6 wires ! As we can't exchange the mirrors, does any one know of a simple way of making connections, preferably without cutting wires and resoldering ?
  5. My rear washer doesn't work despite the pump working. I traced the pipework from the pump to where it goes up inside the metal bodywork between the windscreen and the small 'angled' window on the drivers side where I cut the pipe and found that water would discharge when I operated the controls. The rest of the pipework appears to be 'bonded' to the internal roof covering as I found the pipe futher back in the vehecle when I removed the rearmost roof monted safety belt cover. Presumably there is a blockage along this length so will probably have to replace with new using a couple of joints. NB the jet is clear, so no problem there. Any one else had similar problems ?
