Thanks zorgman, the light switches are set to door but only the boot light works, looks like I will be looking for puddles under the seatand broken wires in the doors! When you say it controls the rear Heater, is this the heating duct between the two front seats or is it another heater, if so where is it?

Hi All, first time on a forum so please go east on me! I have just brought a 2000 X mk2 galaxy and when I open and unlock the car the only interior light to come on is in the boot, leaving the middle and front light in darkness. Both work when they are switched on but when switched to the right side for illumination when the doors open/unlocked they stay dark, my os passenger is missing a door switch, is this the issue? Also I have a fan and temperature dial over the top of the passenger seat in the head lining, these don't work either, I also have no idea what they control I have no manuals yet as I'm awaiting them from the dealer! So your help is appreciated
