Never posted on here before-hope i am doing it right! I've had a problem with my ford galaxy for several months, the immobiliser light inside the door was flashing a red light & the car wouldn't start, i had to keep trying it until the light was constant red for the car to start. It has just got worse as the months went on & it kept happening a lot more, usually when i had stopped for petrol! The car was taken last week to a key programming place, they have put a new transponder on which seems to have fixed the immobiliser problem as the central locking is working again & the red light inside the door is constant red but the car just wont start. When you turn the ignition on you can hear it power up but then theres no noise & it wont start. All the electrics are working, radio, lights, windows etc. Can anybody help as i have asked several auto electricians & they have said the only thing i could do would be to take it to ford which i cant afford to do at the moment. When i took it to the key programming place they said it kept coming up with a PATS MODULE FAULT. The galaxy is 2001, automatic. Hope somebody out there can help! Thanks.
