  5. Update: went out again today and the noise appears to be too much air getting sucked in rather than exhaust, i took the air intake along with the maf assy upto the throttle intake butterfly valve off revved the engine and the noise is still there. When i had all the pipes etc off i had a look round exhaust manifold as best i could with a mirror and torch and cant see anything obvious .
  6. Noise started couple of days ago and now alot louder especially when power applied . i got got a new type fitted yesterday they checked exhaust and said it was ok Today noise is worse so i had a look but can't see anything blowing . It sounds like its coming from back of the engine .(V6 99 petrol ) Cheers guys
  7. I have V6 petrol galaxy and im having a similar prob i think. I get a lot of noise when accelerating and it appears to be coming from the back of the engine somewhere. (had the exhaust checked and it was ok) So im thi nking it must around the manifold area , I know your is a diesel but any chance of a couple of pics of what u found? Cheers Lewis
  8. I fitted one of these aftermarket systems to my Mk 1 galaxy a few months back , located it in the jack storage , used the remote locking wires to the fuel cap and ran a permenant 12 v feed from the 12v outlet sockets on the other side of the boot, there is an earth point in the jack compartment for the tailgate loom
