How easy is it to replace the whole loom in the drivers door? Have repaired at least 4 broken wires and its about time the loom was changed. Do I have to use Ford for the parts at their exorbitant cost?

Having re-joined at least 4 broken wires and still having problems with central locking, how difficult is it to change the whole loom in the drivers door? and do i have to pay the exorbitant amount that Ford want for the parts?

I've just fitted the towbar for the trailer & got the roof bars ready for the top box.

Is yours auto? Running round normally I'm only getting 30max, and no I've not got a great big right foot.

I've got a Mk2 1.9TDI Auto, what should I get to the gallon, best so far is 36-38mpg on a 300 mile motorway journey doing steady 70-75 mph. Hear people say they get 50-55mpg, are they dreaming?
