you cant put them under the fog lights that's to low, they have to be 250mm or above or you will fail your mot , I fitted them to the lower grill they have to be 600m apart and at least 400m from side of car, they fit in between the gaps in the lower grill they just screw on , you then have to remove one of the lower side lights/fog lights the one nearest the battery is best, unscrew the two screws underneath the lower light then prize of the light very hard there are two clips at the top then remove side light then splice the positive wire with the one for the drl kit it will tell you on your kit which wire, I got a Phillips kit from ebay 64.99 you can get them on amazon too but are dearer no photos yet will get some -

i swapped all my rear bulbs over to led and got no warnings at all and they all went out when ignition turned off ,they where the canbus error free ones, but i noticed the ones that are not error free can sometimes stay on i have tried them in the past , any way after all that i swapped them all back to the normal bulbs as they are illegal to use and were not up to the quality of the normal bulbs.i was just interested to know if the new led tail light would work but knew it would not be straight forward .they might even be a different connecters aswell

just wondering does any body know if the led tail lights for the mark 4 galaxy work on the mark 3, just interested to know

Mk3 Front Door Trim Removal (door Mirror Replacement).
bobbyrabs replied to petert1401's topic in MKIII Technical section
i assume I am to late with this but the plastic trim round the door opener just comes off pull the door opener as if opening the door and the plastic trim should fall off as long as you have removed the screw of course you will not damage the window you will not even see the window it is behind sound proofing you will just have some plugs to unplug when all the screws are undone push up the door trim to free it nothing should break -
its the part of the seatbelt that connects to the anchor point on the rear two seats it comes right off and you can push it in to this slot

bobbyrabs replied to djacks42's topic in MKIII Technical section
I don't think its the door solenoid its got some thing to do with dead locks I think, but could be wrong -
did you give it enough time to heat up
-
you still have the right for them to fix it they usually give you a 3 month warranty when you but second hand ,but I don't know when or where you bought it of course, tell them your are going to the citizens advice this usually works, know your rights .

bobbyrabs replied to petert1401's topic in MKIII Technical section
its easy to do ,open the door look round the edge of the door panel remove all the screw all the way round and there is also a screw behind the door opener remove plastic cover with small screw driver and thats is simple .no levering needed -
door panel removed easy, no wiring problems seen, i think its the door control module
