hi sorry to bother you have you managed to sort this as my car is doing exactly the same thing !

hi all have looked at the faq part of this it shows great pictures but doesnt say if the car has to be running when undoing the small allen bolt on the bottom of the gearbox, post just says if correct oil level in box it flows out of the overflow tube if it drips then box needs topping up. as when i run the car up to temp the oil flows out of the tube when engine is off but not when the car is running forgive my ignorance but does this meaqn it needs topping up or more taking out as now that i have taken out some oil it sometimes stalls . can anyone tell me how to measure the oil level in box correctly please before i knacker the box!!!!

hi just flicking though this post are these pics right as i posted thread on here about my faulty box it has 1 and 2nd and reverse but wont change to 3rd if i rev it it seams to go into neutral drop the revs and it drives again in 2nd, i have just undone the bolt that is shown in your pic and oil is flowing out when the box is cold does this mean box is over full and would it cause my problem cheers

What was the sub-code? 00652 P0730 Transmission Shift-Range Controller - Signal - Incorrect Gear Ratio 00652 P0731 Transmission Shift-Range Controller - Gear #1 - Incorrect Ratio 00652 P0732 Transmission Shift-Range Controller - Gear #2 - Incorrect Ratio 00652 P0733 Transmission Shift-Range Controller - Gear #3 - Incorrect Ratio 00652 P0734 Transmission Shift-Range Controller - Gear #4 - Incorrect Ratio hi he didnt say i think he said a number should of come up with a number with the letters po in it, but it didnt just came up with 00652. what is the range controller and where is it cheers

had the codes read again and all that came up was 00652, anyone any ideas cheers

hi one of my friends has a snap on thingy with whatever progs he uses, i thought with it being a 2.3 with ford engine that the vag com wouldnt communicate with anything,or is this not the case

any help on this had it checked and not throwing any faults except egr valve could this do it, it drives in first then second really smoothly then just revs its nuts off and feels like its in neutral anyone got any ideas please

hi all i have just aquired a 1999 v reg 2.3 auto galaxy with a gearbox fault , it wont change up from 2nd gear , i have 1st, 2nd and reverse and thats it if you drive car the autobox gets very hot to the touch. my friend told me he has changed the gearbox to a newer tiptronic box as the origninal was slipping its had new torque converter and he changed ecu then this fault developed when it was all put back together he had many headaches with this and gave up and passed the car on to me he thought that maybe it needs recoding due to new ecu and box , but i just wondering if it could be fluid levels or something similar any help please
