  1. Got the indicator off, wasn't rocket science. Found the pump and the pipe had indeed become split, but after cutting it back and relocating the pump in the engine bay, the cruise control doesn't work. so will have another look. sexysi
  2. Just looked around the front indicator, how the hell do u get the thing off, via underneath, in the bonnet, at the side through the wing? :o sexysi
  3. Yet another fault with the galaxy, all of a sudden the cruise control has stopped working, i don't know if this is linked to the rear electric windows problem? Again i have checked the fuse and the other bits on the stalk work, ie: indicators? Where else can i look to try and fix this problem, again is there a relay that effects a 2.8 galaxy's cruise control? thanks sexysi
  4. A long time ago both my rear electric windows stopped working on my 2.8 ghia galaxy. It is 1999 model, so a mark 1. I have decided to get to the bottom of the fault. So far, as both windows failed at the same time i thought that the problem was not at the rear of the car ie: in the door panels, however i have checked the connectors on the switches in the door panels and they seem fine. I have just changed the centre console switch for a new one and this has had no effect on the problem either. I have also checked the fuse as well, that is fine. Are there any relays that can effect the rear electric windows or do they just work via a fuse? Has anybody got any idea where else i can look to try and reslove this problem? Thanks sexysi
  5. I have a 1999 2.8 galaxy and I have a water leak, i have found where the leak is coming from, but as there are no haynes manuals to tell what part is broken on a 2.8 vr6 engine, i'm having trouble working this out. looking from the front of the engine we have the top rad hose. this goes down a little bit and connects to the engine, just under where the HT leads connect. The same hose connects twice here to a black plastic unit. This unit has 3 electric connectors going to it. Does anybody have any clue what this unit is? Is it the water pump< with 3 electic sensors on it? Can any one help. si
  6. Well I'm from Bexleyheath in Kent, just South of London. It seems to be a bit of a trek to fill up in Yorkshire everyday. Just goes to show there still is a North/South divide. Even on petrol prices <_< sexysi
  7. Yep I have, I've got the 3 vents for the second row and 2 more roof vents for the 3rd row of seats. That is cool to know,....that there was an actual reason why they only did one electic opening rear quarter. Excellent cheers sexysi
  8. where do you live? sexysi
  9. As long as LPG stays at 42.9p per litre. I don't mind sexysi
  10. Bought me Galaxy 3 years ago and there where a couple of funnies I noticed at the time. The last owner was Ford Motor Company, and I bought it as a Ford Direct vehicle. The vehicle is a 1999 T reg 2.8 Ghia Galaxy. However 1. The galaxy is badged up Ghia X and to me it has the Ghia X spec ie: climate control, heated front seats/ front window etc etc. Even electric opening rear quarter lights. But it is registered as a 2.8 Galaxy Ghia <_< strange!! 2. Ford in there infinate wisdom only made the car with one electric quarter light, the nearside one is fixed and doesn't open at all <_< <_< Why? Why would someone make a car with only one opening quarter light, why not do both, strange. Just thought I would share this lot with yah. sexysi
  11. Same here when I have my heating set to hot then the air comes out at the back only on the floor. Ie at the back of the handbrake and on the rear side pillar vents on the floor. However the hot air doesn't come out of the top face vents when the heating is set to hot. Just as you would expect the cold air only comes out at the back via the roof vents. Thus cooling your face. sexysi
  12. No it's not a fault, the Galaxy flashes this up when the computer thinks it needs a service. It should read Service Miles and then the milage. You will also get a Oil service one coming up soon as well. These are just little reminders that Mr Ford wants his money. You can reset them yourself, Not sure of the combination. I think you switch the car off, take the key out put it back in turn the car on but not start it and then press the milage reset button for say 10 seconds then it should go out. I think You could always phone up Ford and ask for the right combination to reset the clock back sexysi
  13. Same problem here, mine cost
