Hi Fleng, took it to the local garage and they reckon the radiator is leaking but cant get a new one for a week so he put some sort or liquid into the radiator and said I could drive it for a couple of days. How safe is this and can I drive it for up to a week like this or am i asking for trouble? Geoff

Fleng, thanks so much for your help, the van is garaged so no rain, i havent been using AC. will carry water with me and go to the garage first thing to get the test you mentioned. I feel less panicky now so once again thanks for all your help. Geoff.x

...I'm not really up on whats going on under the bonnet and I dont know what a header tank is. I think where you put the water for the radiator is half full (is that just above the battery?) and the water for the windscreen is completely full. thx Geoff

hi there, I have just bought a galaxy 1999 glx and drove it form london to marbella in southern spain. all was well and we arrived without any trouble. Just went to take her out after 2 weeks and there is a puddle of water underneath where the battery is, approx. Anyone got any ideas about this. I looked under the bonnet but cant see where the water is coming from. need to pick up the outlaws from malaga airport 2mrw evening so would really appriciate the help many thanks in advance Geoff
