  1. just a quick update I've been buying a Sealey PPX test probe ( great piece of kit ) and it allows me to power up the fusebox with a postive or negative charge. Anyway, I tried the fuses 19, 55 and tried with new fuses, powered them up in situ but nowt at C/L or OBD port. But when I probed the left side of fusebox, I was getting a Neg reading at the fuses not a Postive. I whipped out my multimeter and confirmed the neg at the fuses roughly 1-5 This now makes me think the fusebox is faulty Anyone come across this? All other electrics work on car, just C/L & OBD port dead. Tho if I power up the red/white wire at back of OBD it works a treat, even allowed me to erase the ABS sensor fault. thanks Simon
  2. This is a w reg diesel Should there be an aux fusebox? I've searched under bonnet and behind glovebox but nowt The red/white wire is dead along passenger kick panel and along the cill plate It'll not defeat me !!! Might just take some time Thanks to those members who have helped, please keep yr suggestions coming as gratefully recieved
  3. Yes I looked under both seats but there are no boxes I've taken the passenger side trim off to check wiring but all looks good I ran a live to the obd port red/ white wire and this powered up the port so my reader could read faults. Left side ABS sensor fault !!! From what I can see the red/white tracer wire is live from fuse box but goes up into bulkhead where it disappears the same coloured wire is dead at both door harnessed before the door gaitors ie behind kick plates I've had clocks out but can't see where wire goes :-(
  4. hiya chaps, wonder if anyone can help me with a few issues on my new purchase. W reg MK1 TD galaxy, just bought it a week ago, so far nice driver and worth the money. 4th Galaxy I've owned and it's the 1st diesel the others were petrol. The central locking is completely dead, no power to doors before trunking in doors, red wire with white tracer is live from fuse 19 from fusebox and goes skywards towards bulkhead, so can't test anymore, all other fuses are OK and none missing, electric windows and mirrors work. The OBD port should also carry this wire but it's dead at the pin on the port? I've ran a positive to the port and can get it to work, diagnosed I've got a dodgy ABS sensor front left. The fusebox is a triple deck job, nothing under passenger seat, no other fusebox in engine bay. Nothing under passenger dashboard. It;s got me stumped. thanks Simon
  5. thanks for the quick reply, I'll order up the leads tonight and see what codes come up.
