  1. it is certainly suffering from rogue system messages, i will look through the Tech Issues thank you but this MK3 must of slipped through the net for being reliable . Its been off the road since Oct 2010
  2. 07 Plate will be Mk3 - none of the above are "common" faults on the Mk3 and generally Mk3's seem to be reasonably reliable with the biggest issues being rogue system messages and trouble with the Converse+ system if its fitted.
  3. After having the engine rebuilt on my Galaxy, it developed further problems. Transmission (auto Box) and turbo issues plus various wiring faults. Can anyone tell me if there is a known common problem with this car that has been flagged up by Ford or do i just seem to have a friday night build on my hands. Want to take this to Ford UK but would like some feedback if anyone else has heard
  4. Can anyone please help, after engine rebuilt due to piston overheating, the engine now keeps going into crawl mode and transmission service required.Auto box has had new oil and filter but it still persists to say this. Sometimes the car will go for hours before it goes into crawl mode.. Ford dealers have said one thing then an auto electrician said that their diagnosis was wrong.. Car has been off the road now nearly 14 weeks and its only an 07 plate Galaxy. Anybody got any ideas please
  5. Have recently had problems after engine rebuild, car goes into crawl mode and transmission service required even though oil and filter have been changed. Ford cannot seem to find the problem so can anyone help
  6. I have an 07 plate 2.0tdci zetec galaxy which i have been really pleased with until last Oct when the engine seized. the engine has been rebuilt but when i picked it up fault codes appeared which seem to say that every component in the car is at fault. after two further weeks of trying to trace exactly what the problem was, it was then taken to a very well known ford garage in Maidstone where they firstly informed me that the car wiring loom was at fault then changed their mind and said just the engine wiring loom.I then got a second opinion from an auto electrical company in maidstone who said the code related to the Turbo actuator valve. It then went to a local garage who could not get the fault to appear even after several test runs. I picked the car up and considering its been off the road now 13 weeks you would think that its all sorted, but only after half an hour on the road the engine management light came on and went into its usual crawl mode, its done it several times today and i am now lost as to know what to do next - any ideas apart from the scrap yard that is
