  1. Thanks, Mirez, is it In the instrument module?
  2. With temperatures below -15 deg Celsius the car is running some time before transport. Clever answer, though, I'll foreward it to the Mrs. with her newborn baby. Once more: does anyone know how to disable the door ajar beep? Comedians are welcome to pm funny comments <_<
  3. Maybe if one of the kids falls out, it would help remedy the car's poor acceleration? At least I get to tell the Mrs. "I told you so". <_< Anyway; isn't it possible to disable the beep?
  4. I'd focus more on preventing the door from opening in the first place. When it beeps, the harm might already be done. But the mrs. doesn't like the feature, and I don't know about you, but at my house her voice is the only one heard (continuously).
  5. Hi, I have a vag-com, and my guess would be somewhere in the instrument cluster, but where?
  6. Is it possible to switch off the beep that indicates that a door is opened? The wife thinks it's quite annoying. <_< It's a 2002 Galaxy Ghia 1,9 TDI Tiptronic.
  7. Thanks a lot, guys, you were right - the pump was faulty. New pump is in, but now I've lost connection to the module again. I also suspect it's full of gunk. It reported errors on heater blower and flame out before it died. I think the next step is to mount a refurbished heater, as the price for the parts, and the time it takes to fix it justifies it.
  8. Thanks a lot, Mirez and Chris, I'll listen for the pump sound
  9. Does anybody have a schematic of the car's cooling system, with the sensors, the pumps, heater matrix and aux heater? If the aux heater is connected in line with the rear blower, I guess there's a pump that's not 100% working, or that the pipes are clogged. From what I can find, all the piping for the rear heater and aux heater is connected to the main cooling circuit via t-connectors, and that rear in the engine bay there's also an electrical pump for this circuit. Also it seems the aux heater is in line with the rear blower. So since my heater is overheating, it seems maybe there's not enough cooling liquid flowing in that circuit. The pump that has a plastic wheel connected to a steel rod that tends to fail, is that the electrical pump I'm talking about above, or the main waterpump? Any thoughts?
  10. Thanks, Zorgman, now I know where the search is located. GGobin: You were right, I dropped the heater and the main power supply cord (the thickest wire) had corroded completely for a section of 2 cm on the last wire, near the plug between the heater and the car. I did some splicing, and now I can reach the control module. Also the heater started, but I think it overheats, so I guess maybe the pump isn't working properly. Fault code: 01410 - Heater Over-Temp 06-00 - Signal too High I'll look more into it this weekend.
  11. Still no response from the controller. The connector looks like it could do with some tlc, so the next step is to drop the heater and check the wires and connector. Maybe it's a quick fix to get it running. Does anyone have I description of what I should try to measure in the connector?
  12. Many thanks! I will check module 18 :-)
  13. Hi, does anyone know at what address I'll find the control module for the aux heater in my 2002 Galaxy? I don't get a response from 7D, which I guess is the normal location?
