  1. Thanks guys , the oil needs topping up every 3-4 weeks but not by much & I will look into blocking the egr...
  2. hi all, as a few of you know i have recently fitted a new run on pump on my 05 tdi & whilst i was doing this i removed the pipe off the egr to gain better access, as i removed i noticed oil so gave it a wipe & checked it again 2 days later & it was covered in oil again... is this early signs of turbo on its way? the car suffers limp mode somtimes on high revs but if you flick the key its fine again... i have been looking at other posts regarding the egr but they all mention sutt not wet oil. the pipe that i removed i think runs down to intercooler but not sure , i removed it from the top in front of the run on pump. what do you think guy's? the millage is 160,000 but serviced regardless of cost, in the last month i have fitted water pump , run on pump , thermostat , clutch & flywheel with loads of other little bits/bushes & now this...
  3. thanks tona , i will give it a go on mine & see if it help's..
  4. Changed the run on pump & I do get some heat but it's allot warmer at higher rev's then cools down at lower revs , the rear heater is still blowing cold , anyone know if both pipes should be hot to rear as only 1 is on mine & the other is cold...
  5. Touched a nerve guys... Sorry if I offended anyone but if only the reply's were as quick on my first post & dave no my names not sanjay...
  6. Thanks for the reply's , I booked it in to a specialist & hopefully they sort it..
  7. im a member on a few other forums & have noticed whilst looking at posts on here they are mostly unsolved.. is there any member that could be pm'd for accurate advice?
  8. hi , guys just a quick question , if i get my galaxy plugged in to a vag com would it show a fault why my heaters are only blowing cold & will this show if the run on pump is working? im collecting a run on pump today & cant help thinking this wont sort my heaters out...
  9. Same problems with mine but after a new water pump, Run-on pump ,thermostat & heater fan its still the same just blowing cold all the time...
  10. if i get the galaxy on a vag com would the heater show any faults or are they seporate from ecu? the air its blowing actually feels colder than outside (front & back) , i dont want to pay for pluging it in just to find nothing shows...
  11. i have a run-on pump on order as mine was making no noise , just wanted to know once i replace it will it stop my heaters blowing cold or should i expect to change somthing else, i noticed my temp is not going above 90 & my fans have not worked or do they work when its hotter?
  12. has anyone a pic of the run on pump as i cant find a post regarding location & with the ones i did find they have had the pics removed... i think i know where but not sure... when i turn ignition on i can hear a humming from above the fuel filter but in scuttle panel not in engine bay..
  13. thats exactly how i bled the system but with no change to heat , been looking for posts on run on pump & whats the symptoms & how to check operation..
  14. Out of interest, how are you bleeding the system? I was under the impression it was self-bleeding so haven't tried a manual bleed. i thought it was self bleeding but not sure.... do i need to remove any pipes or plugs?
  15. thanks for reply , was just wondering is it possilble im not bleeding the system right? i have had it where the heaters did feel warm & not hot but after topping up with water they were ok.. (now they are cold all the time)
