Thanks for the swift reply, must admit you had cropped up quite a bit as I searched for clues on here...its nice to know there are supportive folks on here.
I take it the gearbox end of the shaft is indeed plugging the gearbox oil. Thought (hoped) it was not the case. Is there a huge amount of oil in the dif area or does it only just reach the output shaft holes or will it be a waterfall of oil if I remove the shaft, will I need new oil seals ect......so many questions, so little time to prepare. Had a big problem with limited space to drift the end off. Must admit that I never removed any plastic sheilds. Is it advisable to remove these for a better swing?
