  1. Nice one on the matrix replacement, you should have no problems removing air from the system then, did you have this cool air issue before the matrix issue?
  2. Hi All, I have a 2002 Sharan TDi (AUY, I have a small leak from the turbo oil return pipe below the turbo unit, I can get to all the bolts no problem but can't seem to remove the nut that connects to the block. Is there an easy way to remove this pipe or should I be removing the drive shaft and gearbox mount? I don't have a problem removing it but just wondered if there was an easy way. Regards
  3. Hi Darren, I would be speaking to the garage that worked on your Duel mass replacement. My reversing lights went off also the other week, after checking the bulbs I replaced the switch on the gearbox and all is fine now.
  4. Hi Hassan, Not sure if this will help but I had the same issue with my 2002 TDi Sharan, I was convinced it was the immobiliser BUT it turned out to be the CAM sensor, I just happened to disconnect it and the car started although it took a few more turns than usual to start. I have now replaced the CAM sensor and it starts nay bother, I know you mentioned that there were no error codes it's something you could try easy just by unplugging the sensor and try to start it. On my Sharan there are two sensor connectors at the front of the engine block just behind a ball shape thingy, you will find two one is black and the other a gray connector, the CAM sensor is the one that leads to towards the timing chain cover towards the top, if I remember correctly it is the black connector. Give it a shot just in case. Regards

  6. Cool, Just in time Mirez, I almost paid for them, they were 4 steel wheels with virtually new tyres only done 30miles before his head gasket went and 4 wheel plates all for
  7. Don't blame him for trying mate with the cost of fuel these days, I newer thought a turbo engine would take veg oil very well. I use a Diesel Peugeot 306 non turbo van for work and mix filtered old engine oil with diesel, 50/50 mix in winter and 70/40 in summer...works a treat, also tried 90/10 mix in summer and its good, just change all filters every 3-4 months. Cheers
  8. Hi, Quick question, I have a mate with a year 2000 V6 Sharan and wondered if his steel wheels would fit my year 2002 Sharan TDi, his tyre size is 205/60R15 - 91 whereas mine are 195/60/R16, they are both 5 stud. Thanks chaps
  9. Gosh! you guys on here should be designing these cars. Like most I appreciate all the help and support available on this forum. Many thanks once again, think I shall stick to a same year standard cluster.
  10. Hi Thanks for the response bud, I do have the big thingi under the sump with a wire leading from it, I understand about the Voltmeter but would like to know if the oil gauge is actually a oil pressure or oil temp gauge. If the cluster is from the same year model car, does it still need programming? will a cluster from an automatic gear model also work? Questions questions.... Many thanks again.
  11. Hi All, I need to replace my speedo clocks on my 2002 Sharan TDi and was wondering if I could install the one with the oil pressure and batt gauge type clocks, also will these need to be reprogrammed by my VW dealer before installation? Thanks in advance
  12. Excellent, nice to have choices. Thanks again folks
  13. Hi All, Just a quick question, I need a glow plug for my 5KW AUX heater and wondered where was the best place to source one from, VW quoting
  14. Hi All, Glad to see the forum is still fuzzing wit questions and answers...so I have one. My remote key fob has just stopped locking/unlocking my 2002 Sharan TDi, working one day and not the next, the red light comes on but no comms with the locks, I replaced the battery in the fob today with no change. Do I simply need to follow the reprogramming instructions in the FAQ? not sure why it would suddenly stop working. Thanks in advance
  15. Hi No not tried another clock set as yet, I was told that it contains the immobiliser within it therefore would need recoding with a pin by VW. I have removed and checked the sensor in the past and it seemed dry and the heat glue intact.
