I have had my car 3 weeks and only just found the cd multichanger in the back lol the dealer that sold it me didnt know it was there either as he advertised the Galaxy as radio/tape player hehe, tis always a bonus when these things happen i used to have same problem,mine was damp on cds every now and then i would have to wipe them then they'd work again for a few months, hope this helps

i've just found the three switches above the thermostat i know which one the fan is ,i also no which one the temp gauge is.. does anybody no what the one is its a blue switch

got a problem with overheating.. had a water pump fitted 2 month ago as well as an automatic belt tensioner,been to devon for hols temp working perfect,come back of hols starts overheating,me thinking it thermostat just kept topping up until temp started going into red then rad bust so i brought new rad had it fitted still overheating brouht thermostat to change but mate couldnt find it so didnt change it.. still overheating but not as much if i put hot air on in car it keeps temp down but rad fans dont kick in until temp is nearly in red :D

U CAN CHANGE TEXT SIZE THROUGH INTERNET TASKBAR GO TO {VIEW} THEN SCROLL DOWN TO TEXT AND CHANGE SIZE IN THERE. IF THAT DONT DONT DO IT IT COULD BE YOUR GRAPHICS CARD SETTINGS.

hill all its me again this time with good newwwws i changed the the plugs and leads as i said i would,put it all back together and she purrs like a cat and runs like a cheetah... this car is now worth owning ,thank you all for your time and support especially {redneck} ps this forum ROCKS :o :o :)

yeh mate mine went down on my 2.3 ghia galaxy,luckily i got one from a scrapyard of granada scorpio cost me and and worked pefect,hope this helps :o

how do i clean the throttle sensor switch,and where is it .... is ther any pics relating to this topic to help me out, thanks in advance :D

hi mate thanks for the dig out with the vag... and to ANSWER YOUR QUESTION REGARDING LEADS AND PLUGS i ttok em out just to check em to find ot was only firing on four to of was totally shot being full of oil and gobbed up,spark plug leads not much better,two of them just broke in half when removing them... i just hope i can put them in ok without the removal as i havent got one and i am reffitting them tomorrrow... ps reconned starter motor and it started ok :o :D :) . i just hope this es end of problems for now!!!!

hi all just wondering if anyone has got any spark plugs and leads for a {97} 2.8 galaxy,mine r knackered. priced em up at shop and i'm looking at 60+for leads and 40+for plugs plus vat :P

sorry for the late reply mate and yes it is the the wire from the solenoid to the starter having it reconned tommorow,thanks for the reply mate,and nice to hear from u. this site had been a life saver for me over the years and saved me a lot of green in the process :P :lol: :)

tried jumping with no affect tried using a booster pack with no affect. but it will start if u tow it

car wont start all electrics seem to be working just wont turnover solenoid not engageing,took starter off today cleaned it up but still made no difference,can immobiliser cause this if so how do i recitfy problem. ps as anybody got vag that could ge me a dig out i live in kirkby in ashfield notts,willing to pay or collect from home address beers etc... :35:

not sure if this will help mate but the last time i changed a reversing light switch was on a escort being a ford thought they might be in the same area,it was underneath the gear stick on underside of car

me too hose perished so i re-joined it with some old calor gas hose and it worked a treat.

2.8 v6 galaxy ghia went out in car this morning still having problems with car ticking over,as if a lead or plug is down drives ok through box at certain stages flat spot dissappers but then when u come to stop it runs perfect then starts to bumble again until you rev through it and BOOT IT .. anyway now for the other problem went out in it this morning as i said when i reversing car into parking space it just died on me tried to restart all lights on dash come on.radio heater lights etc,but wont even turnover starter motor not even trying no clicking from starter nothing,so i got it towed through car park then tried to start it, it started,drove it home turned it off same problem wouldnt start starter motoor not even engaging or attempting to..... had the car two days and i'm ready for firing it. ps anybody got vag or obdc2 or what ever it is to possibly help me out would be much appreciated and will pay for your time of course. i live at kirkby in ashfield nottingham. thanks in advance :lol: :) :)

hi all, just to put you all in the picture went out in car this morning and the ****ing things packed up on me it just stopped dead while reversing all lights come on dash just doesnt atempt to turnover,even got someone to give me a jump start but no luck,not even clicking on starter motor when turning it over. wondered if ita an electrical fault,checked fuses but not relays. :lol: :lol: :lol:
