  1. Guys, Thanks for all your comments. To cut a long story short, the whole steering rack was replaced and it's fine now. Thankfully, just for once, it was a warranty item and therefore didn't cost me anything other than time as it took over a week to get the part and the garage had stripped it all down to diagnose the problem so I had to leave it in the garage for 8 days. Still a result nonetheless. Now the horn doesn't work, well actually it wasn't for a few days, called the garage and they said bring it in, then it started working again. Now it's not working again. Could it be the temperature? This is a serious question. Has anyone else experienced the horn ceasing the be operative when the weather is freezing? It may of course be a faulty connection. Pete
  2. I have a 2008 Ford Galaxy and I have a problem where the steering goes very stiff (as if the power steering isn't working) intermittently particularly when making a right turn. The power steering hasn't stopped altogether. There is fluid in the reservoir and no visible sign of leaks. Is it as a faulty sensor of some sort? I need to fix this ASAP as it can be potentially dangerous. Can anyone help?
