  1. I have been watching them on Ebay, the classifieds are a priced high, some go up to
  2. I was thinking along the lines of Autotrader or a classified on Ebay, I think the auctions dont work that well!. I am unsure what to ask for Galaxy as there are so many conflicting prices. Its a 1.9 diesel with 100,000 on clock on an 02 plate with FSH in generally good condition, stone chips and the odd scratch aside? any thoughts
  3. I am looking at selling my Galaxy, but where is best to sell? Does anyone know of the most successful place i.e Autotrader / ebay. It will be a private sale as I have already got a new car and it will be sad to see it go but it must go!!!
  4. Latest update. Took Gal to Local Injector Specialist who diagnosed that Injector Unit was not firing and advised that injector needed changing which needed to be done by Ford. The reason was advised that the wiring was meeting high resistance as it heated up hence why it was Ok when cold. Ok, what ever you at least I have been given an answer this time. So dropped it off to Ford today and have advised that the injector wiring loom is the fault and needs replacing,
  5. Go to the technical section and my post is four below yours. Let me know how you get on with swopping the injector.
  6. I am having a problem with a Misfire that only happens when warm, a local garage read that mine was misfirng on Unit injector No1 and advised me to take it to ford to have the system changed, er, not yet. I need to find the link to why it only happens when warm but runs perfect from cold. A few posts have been added as to what it may be and I will follow those up first. Have a read of my post and see if anything there helps. Is yours constant, only when cold or just intermittent?
  7. Drove to work again today, and to confirm the symptom, when the temp reaches about 70 it starts to Judder, feels like the car is trying to pull then lagging off. This happens for a few minutes when it then settles to a constant misfire that is quite bad below the 2000 revs mark, vibrations feels like the front gunner on a lancaster bomber when pulling away  Think I will contact GSF and order temp sensor just in case and have a good look aorund engine bay the weekend when I have daylight. Will try to find another specialist to confirm what is going on but have also booked into the Fraudsters on the 3rd if all else fails, hope I can cure it before then!! Thanks for help to date, will keep you posted on any resolution but any other ideas are gladly received. Merry Christmas to all and a Happy new year for now.
  8. Hi all, its been a long time since I have posted but I have viewed over the months and found the help invaluable. From a diff bearing, to broken drive shaft, to anti roll bars, tyres, brakes and a battery its been an expensive year. Now I have another problem (its been a bad year) . As my Gal (1.9 diesel 115bhp) warms up the temperature gauge acts a bit erratically going up and down quite quickly from 50 to 70 c. When the car finally settles and hits 90c or there abouts the engine starts to misfire but it runs perfectly up until this temperature. I have viewed several post on a similar issue but there has never been any solution to the problem. I have took it to several garages, some have had no reading from the system. Finally, Lucas by Dudley advised that unit 1 injector is not firing and I need to book into Ford to have it replaced. Ok, this sounds a bit expensive but I could go along with it but why only when warm? I would appreciate someone help on this plus if anyone can recommend a good garage in my Area of Stourbridge who can fault find and work on Galaxy's as most I have got out of Yellow pages either have turned down the work or advised that they can't fix it. HELP !!
  9. Thanks for the quick reply ! I will give it a go tonight and let you know.
  10. Just had the old Gal serviced, not by an authorised dealer but by a buddy and the service warning is coming on telling me a service is needed in 1200 miles (had it done early due to a horrible noise coming from gearbox). Can someone explain how I can turn it off or does it have to go to Fraud?
  11. Purplemadboy, i know its off subject but what are your thoughts about the freelander. I keep hearing mixed reviews and mainly end up being told they are horrible to drive and have expensive problems with them. I will be changing our second car next year for some small 4x4 type and am looking at RAV4, Xtrail (prob too new), CRV and freelander. ?
  12. Steve, let me know how you get on as I would probably use them in future if needed as I do not hold a lot of faith with my local branch in Stourbridge. Gav
  13. I have been told that the Ford dealer in wombourne has a good reputation, just follow the road from Himley house to Bridgnorth for about 3 miles. I have not used them myself but people I know have and I have not heard any of them complain.
  14. A great big bloody FOG HORN that deafens the idiot in the next car who is just about to open their car door onto your "already battered from previous idiots" door. Otherwise I think I agree with what everyone else would like :)
