is yours the 115bhp tdi? the symptoms sound like overboost or underboost, you need to code read the car as it will tell you which it is!, the vanes on the turbo tend to stick and you get one or the other, it happens when you accelerate hard for 7 or 8 seconds the ecu has requested a set amount of boost pressure and the turbo is providing a different amount and the ecu shuts it down thinking its faulty, the ign off and on clears the fault and resets so if your having problems accelerate for say 5 or 6 seconds then ease of the pedal then put it back on to prevent the limp mode until you get it sorted!, some people have used innotec turbo cleaning system which ha soffered a temp cure to this, but when mine was doing it the turbo was whistling and well worn so i opted to replace! :angry2:
