Hello, thinking of buying a Seat Alhambra 1.9 tdi, which is in my local paper. I went to see the car yesterday, and despite being 51 plate, year of registration 2001, it had the mk2 interior. older dashboard and door cards, steering wheel etc, also the shape of the vechicle was the older shape. I believe they call it 7M ? As i understand seat (ford ve also) changed there design in 2000. So far it is the only one I can find being of 2001 and having the older style, Does this sound normal to anyone? I found it a bit strange. Also it is automatic, doesn't really bother me, but is there any disadvantage to having a automatic alhambra over the manual? Thanks for any help

Yeah, it came out of the wheel arch's and not a drip came inside. It was slow a little slow draining and the right side. But when I say slow i mean a few seconds before it cleared. -

I checked out the windscreen and it seems to be fine. This is really getting to me. I've had to bin the carpet and underlay. But luckily in my local spares shop they have a galaxy in, so can get cheap parts.Any other thoughts??? -

I had thoughts it might be somthing to do with the wind screen. As I notice most of the time the bottom of the windscreen on the drivers side in the corner (if that makes sense) is steamed up. I will check it out tomorrow in the light and let you know. -

Sorry to drag this back up. But i'm still having problems!!! After more searching in the car (when I get time, as had a new baby born a few months ago) I can see where the water is coming in.. Sort of. Pics below. Theres a bolt where i'm pointing, there seems to be a panal that the water is coming in from behind. I was waiting in the car when it rained and managed to see it coming in slow but constant. I'm not sure how to get to the otherside as its right at the bottom. And there is a cover of sorts on the bottom of the car. Any thoughts? -

I've tried that and they are clear, I've just checked this morning (raining here last night) and there was a little water in there (only a little as I have made a drainage hole). The stopper behind the accelerator pedal, how do I get this off? I think water is coming in from there? Also my carpet is pretty much had it, does anyone know where I can get some more? (apart from main dealer as they want around -

Hi all, thanks for the replies. I took the carpet up and the underlay, and waited for it to rain. (as I do not have a hose pipe) And couldn't see where it was coming in. It wasn't coming in as the rain was pouring. But seemed to be coming in from here (picture 1) I took my car for an MOT today and it flew through (very happy) the MOT tester said its faultless, and the emissions are remarkable. anyways whilst I could get under the car I had a good look. And maybe found the problem. See the picture attached. This is in the front wheel arch, I took that cover over to get at it. There was water in there when I took it off. My question is now, would water get in here? and would the lead to the footwell. I'm going to set to work at repairing that asap. -
hi all, need help. every time it rains water gets into the footwell, i've taken the carpet out now, checked the sunroof, checked the drains looked under the bonnet where that shelf is. but cant find the leak anywhere. any ideas???
