  1. take the clip off and check the condition of the hose? mate of mine replaced one of these clips and for some odd reason it cut through the hose and caused a leak.
  2. thank you sir. will check those out asap.
  3. i would still take the gaitors off and have a look. not trying to be funny but by the sounds of it you have no idea how well the wires were repaired. if they used block connectors they will fail again, they need to be done right to avoid them breaking/shorting again. it takes ten minutes to check and it will at the very least rule it out.
  4. had these exact same issues on an old fiat punto and it turned out to be the stalk. obviously might not be on this occasion but thats exactly where i would start. as for the rear doors and central locking i wouldremove the door gaitors and check the wiring. i have owned a seat alhambra that i had to rewire most of the door electrics on and i now have a galaxy which is gonna get the same treatment on the tail gate this weekend, from what i understand its a common fault.
  5. hey guys looking for some advice. got a 96 (P reg) 2.0L petrol galaxy and its fine except for a couple of really irratating problems. first one is the airbag light is constantly on, anyone got any idea how to solve this ? second is that when i switch the headlights on at night the console doesnt light up, neither do any of the backlit buttons on the centre console. they did work when i got the car so obviously something has gone wrong but i checked all the fuses and they seem fineso i am stumped, whats odd though is all the warning lights work, oh and the digital mileage displey works as well. just not the back light for the buttons or speedo or tachometer etc. would really appreciatte some help on this one please. thanks
