Neal 1500

I have an 08 Ghia 2.0 TDCI. Last year at 13k miles it needed a new pump and rack. Now at 26k miles it has started over again. Knocking noise first, then power steering failing and needing the wheel to be turned in the opposite direction to return power assistance. Another new rack will be fitted on Tuesday by the dealer and it hasn't cost me anything but will I have to do this every year I have the car?
