  1. Recently on a 104,000mile TDI Auto, the gearbox seems to slip in second when under load it also starts squeling noise less drive power and high revs. Take your foot off and it behaves like a slipping clutch when it grips again. It seems to happen more when cold. Is this the end of the gearbox? is it a common fault? Thanks for any suggestions on what may be wrong.
  2. Just wanted to thank this forum and the person who gave the link to this forum [web]http://forums.tdiclub.com/showthread.php?t=199398[/web] which gives a very detailed answer to the dodgy relay problem. This is a useful analysis of breakdown conditions that saved me many hours of testing or a trip to a fault code reader. http://forums.tdiclub.com/showthread.php?t=199398 Some posts on here have the problem relay as number 30? mine was definately number 109 stamped on th etop of the black box at the third level of fuses and relays. Thanks
