Thanks for the reply. Thats exactly what i wanted to hear. Is there anybody that can do it for me. I'm in north Essex 10 miles from cambridge. Quite willing to travel a bit. And i'm not asking for it to be done for free.

Hi All. I have read a couple of topics and it wasn't advised but this is what i done. My mk1 galaxy was auto. All the clutchs are worn out, it juddders and slips and is well knackered. I have a mk1 5 speed manual which i took the gearbox out of and fitted in the auto. Everything was a straight swap. from pedals to engine mounts the whole kit and kaboodal. My problem now is although everything works fine my speedo is way out. car 30mph speedo 45 car 50 speedo 70. Now i have read the clock can be programed but is that what i need and does anybody know who can do it. I have vcds lite but unregistered, can it be done with that. will putting the sender unit from the auto gearbox cure the problem. Any help will be greatly received.
