  1. No. I fitted the motor and it does only run in one direction. So happy days !! (so fail safe) Took a peek inside the new module and this one has the part numbers on the component, so I'll try and fix the old one if I can. I think one of the fet is blown. Question is how do you protect the device from getting wet again. Seal it up or will this have the opposite effect of trapping moisture ?? Question 2. If the motor is 12V D.C and the incoming is 12V. How is this changing speed ?? Thank you for your reply though much appreciated !!
  2. Hi I may be over analysing this but ............ My wiper motors packed up for the second time a week ago. Which is an expensive fault. So this time I bought a second hand one from the local scrapyard. I have plugged the motor in and the motor spins as expected. changing speed etc. But is the motor supposed to turn 180 degrees and then reverse in the opposite direction or does the mechanical mechanism take care of this. I wasn't sure if to finish fitting in-case I damaged the mechanical mechanism. It make sense that it only goes in one direction as it is then failsafe ?
