  1. Hi Radiotwo Many thanks for getting back to me. Unfortunately, the high revs test is standard here so no point in going elsewhere. Not sure why they have to do this. Some people are certainly concerned over engines being revved too high. Cheers
  2. Hi folks I see many posts on MAF's but none with quite these symptoms. I have a 1998 Galaxy Ghia 1.9tDi that runs perfectly well all the time with the one exception... If revs are put up to 4500, whether in gear or not, the engine simply cuts out. It restarts normally afterward. Power not otherwise affected. It is not often that 4500 rpm is needed on the road so it is an infrequent event but the car test (in Ireland) requires a high rev and when the engine cuts the test goes no further. (failed MOT). Mechanic looked at several options but left with changing ECU now!!! Any similar problems out there?
